Formative Assessment Guidelines for QM 2241

  • The exam consists out of 40 objective-type questions.
  • The exam is closed-book, closed-notes.
  • The time limit is 2 hours.
  • Questions will be presented one-at-a-time.
  • Students will be able to return to previous questions (i.e. backtracking allowed).
  • No electronic devices, other than a handheld calculator, are permitted.
    • For exams administered within the LockDown Browser, the LockDown Browser contains a built-in basic calculator that will be available from the toolbar once the exam has started.
    • For exams administered outside LockDown Browser, the student can use the basic version of the Windows or Mac OS calculator only.
  • A basic hand calculator that does not include any statistical function keys (as shown by S, s, s2, etc), programming capability (as shown by a PRGM key), or text storage capability (as shown by letter keys, A, B, C, etc) may be used. Phones, PDAs, or other multi-use devices are not allowed.
  • Students are allowed to use scratch paper during the test. All scratch paper must be destroyed after the test.
  • Statistical tables appropriate for the course and a summary formula sheet will be provided as an electronic file.

    Proctors should ensure that the computer that will be used for the exam can successfully open this file.
    The formula sheet is available as a link from within the exam. This link can be accessed even within the LockDown Browser.
