On August 26, 2009, Dr. Don C. Hines passed away after losing a battle with cancer. Dr. Hines served Troy University and the Sorrell College of Business in a number of ways during his career as a higher education educator and leader. He was currently serving as the Dean of the Sorrell College of Business.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, August 28 between 5 and 8 PM in the Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy, Alabama. The funeral will be held in the Green Hills Funeral Home at 11 AM on Saturday, August 29.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Don C. Hines College of Business Scholarship Fund. Donations can be mailed to the Troy University Foundation, 1120 US Highway 231, Troy, AL 36082 noting the Don C. Hines College of Business Scholarship Fund.
